Most walking tours of Lisbon will give you dates, names, and a selfie spot. This is not that. Let's Start a Travel Sketchbook is a three-hour outdoor sketch experience that turns you from a tourist being watched into the one doing the watching, a distinction that matters in a world where even the sky has eyes.
We meet at Rossio at 09:45 for a quick sketch icebreaker, move through the square taking in landmarks at a human pace, then make our way up to a miradouro for a longer, slower sketch project with one of the best views in the city. Last stop is where we color everything in. You leave with a physical sketchbook, a real, tangible souvenir made by yourself in collaboration with the city, and perhaps the start of a new personal practice.
No art experience needed. Materials provided: a travel-size sketchbook and one archival-quality pen. Coloring supplies are provided. You are welcome to bring your own, but it is entirely optional.
